Oxford

Hello! A few weekends ago on Saturday Feb 23rd,  I spent the day in Oxford. Oxford is a very old college (or "uni" as they call them over here) town. It was absolutely gorgeous! The buildings look like old churches, when actually they're universities. I went with two of my friends, Jeni and Anna, to Oxford for the day to see a ballet that was being showed at one of the theaters in town. Jeni and Anna's roommate is a music performance major at the Royal Academy of Music and she told us we needed to go see this ballet. We took a train from London Paddington Station to Oxford and it took right around an hour each way. A lot of Harry Potter has been filmed here, mainly inside the buildings, but you can still get that magical feeling when walking the streets!

Christ Church College- from what I've been told, the dining hall in Hogwarts was shot inside this uni. They still actually use it as a dining hall too!

The River Thames

We came right in the middle of prime rowing practices! It was fun watching the big teams row down the river. I definitely want to give it a try sometime!

A cute little pub, we thought it'd be a fun place when it gets warmer out to sit outside and watch people

We didn't get a tour of the city since we just came on our own, so a lot of the pictures are just really pretty buildings which I have no idea of what they are or what is inside of them, sorry!

Top row of the theater where we saw the English National Ballet perform the Sleeping Beauty. The costumes and dancing was absolutely mesmerizing. I had no idea people could move like that!
